We made hats out of paper mache. We were looking at how the paper began soft and flimsy and became solid as we added layers.

onomatopoeia

WALT identify onomatopoeia and use it in our writing.

I found onomatopoeia easy because I looked at some of the words from my mum's Tagul. I want to work on finding more interesting words.

Measuring Using Standard Units

I found measurement easy because I did this when I was a year 2. I want to work on not having spaces when I measure with cubes.

3D Shape

I found 3D kind of easy because I learnt them when I was a year 2. I want to work on working hard.

I found summarising hard because it was hard to find the right information. I want to work on reading the questions carefully.

I can read the story carefully to find information. I need to learn to find information quicker by skimming and scanning.

Multiplication

I am learning about multiplication. I can solve times tables problems using counters. I need to practise my times tables.

We went to Te Tuhi and we did a portrait of ourselves. We went to the gallery and then we went back to a dark place that had a kete and a necklace. It was fun.

I am learning to write a haiku poem. I can use some interesting words in my poem to make it sound better.

Counting on and back

I am learning to count on and back from the biggest number.

I knew that 37 was the biggest number. I used the hundreds board to count on 13 places. My answer was 50.
